The best Galaxy S7 Edge battery cases to keep the power flowing

Incipio Offgrid Wireless Battery Case

It’s horrible when your smartphone battery dies, especially if you aren’t anywhere near a charger or an outlet. If you find that your battery simply can’t make it through the day, then you might want to pick up a case equipped with an external battery pack. Whether you’re on a camping trip, hunting Pokémon, or just need some extra juice to see you through to bedtime, try snagging one of the Galaxy S7 Edge battery cases below for a little peace of mind.

The Best

Incipio Offgrid Wireless Battery Case ($67+)

Incipio Offgrid Wireless Battery Case
  • Capacity – 3,700mAh
  • Output – 1A
  • Size – 6.5 x 3.05 x 0.62 inches
  • Weight – 118g (4.16oz)

This battery case boosts your S7 Edge’s battery life by around 70 percent. It’s slim and lightweight, too, at least compared to other S7 Edge battery cases on the market. The finish is matte black with a soft-touch material that adds grip and is comfortable to hold. You can recharge the case via the Micro USB port on the bottom, and it supports Quick Charge 2.0 pass-through, so you can juice your S7 Edge up in a hurry as long as you use a QC 2.0 charger. This case also supports wireless charging on the Qi or PMA standards.

It comes in two pieces. You slide your S7 Edge into position, then snap a bumper onto the top, which features metallic button covers for the power and volume buttons. There’s also a cut-out on the back for the camera and a redirect for the speaker at the bottom. There’s even a metallic button at the bottom that brings the four white LEDs, allowing you to see the remaining power.

The bumper should provide some protection, but there are cut-aways that expose the edges of the screen. There’s also only a very slight lip, meaning it’s still susceptible to damage if dropped. The bottom section is bulky, so you’ll need the 3.5-millimeter headphone extender that’s included in the box if you want to plug headphones in.

The Rest

Mophie Juice Pack Case ($85+)

Mophie Juice Pack Case
  • Capacity – 3,300mAh
  • Output – 1.8A
  • Size – 6.39 x 3.14 x 0.73 inches
  • Weight – 122g (4.3oz)

You can expect about a 60-percent bump to your S7 Edge’s battery with this case on. It’s a little heavier and bulkier than it should be for its capacity, but it does support QI wireless charging. It will charge the S7 Edge first if you plug it in, but, sadly, it doesn’t support pass-through fast charging. The button covers for volume and power work well, though, and there’s a generous cut-out on the back for your smartphone’s camera. The lack of a front-facing opening for sound is a little disappointing, so it does muffle the S7 Edge a wee bit.

On the back, there’s a power button to turn the case on and off and four LEDs give you an idea of how much power remains. The power button is a bit too easy to accidentally press, however. This case should offer reasonable protection from bumps and drops, and there’s a slight lip at the top and bottom. The screen is pretty exposed still, so if your S7 Edge lands on an uneven surface, it could end up scratched or cracked.

There’s also a Micro USB cable in the box and a headphone adapter, which you’ll need for most of the accessories you might plug into the 3.5-millimeter audio port.

ZeroLemon Battery Case ($60)

ZeroLemon Battery Case
  • Capacity – 8,500mAh
  • Output – 1.2A
  • Size – 6.5 x 3.06 x 0.82 inches
  • Weight – 218g (7.68oz)

If you really want to extend your S7 Edge battery life for as long as possible, then this could be the case for you. It has a whopping 8,500mAh rating, so you can expect to boost your S7 Edge battery by around 150 percent. It supports Quick Charge 2.0 pass-through charging as well, and it even has an extra USB output that can be used to charge other devices, albeit at a slower rate.

With such a large capacity, this case is inevitably huge and very heavy. The TPU outer layer is shock-absorbent, however, so it should offer decent protection even if the screen is left pretty exposed. There’s also a standard power button on the back with a four-LED display to show the remaining power. The button covers for the volume and power work fine and there’s a cut-out for your smartphone’s camera. Despite the redirect ports for the speaker at the bottom, it still muffles the sound a bit.

Unfortunately, there’s no headphone extender in the box and you’re going to need one to plug most headphones in. This case also doesn’t support wireless charging, and NFC won’t work with the case on either. Because the battery is so big, you can expect it to take at least 8 hours to charge, possibly longer. It’s not the best design we’ve seen, but it does offer plenty of juice.

Trianium Atomic S Pro Case ($30)

Trianium Atomic S Pro Case
  • Capacity – 5,000mAh
  • Output – 1.6A
  • Size – 6.4 x 2.93 x 0.6 inches
  • Weight – 131g (4.64oz)

Here’s a slim case that will double the battery life of your Galaxy S7 Edge. You can charge and sync your S7 Edge through the case, but there’s no support for wireless charging. There’s a standard power button on the back, too, along with the usual array of LEDs for checking the remaining power. The case also features a soft, rubber finish that’s quite comfortable to hold.

It comes in two parts that slot together, which makes it easy to fit around your S7 Edge. That said, it is harder to get off than on. The sides do leave the edges of the screen exposed, but they also provide quick access to your smartphone’s buttons, ports, and camera. The bottom section is chunky, so the case comes bundled with a headphone extender, and there are redirects for the speaker. The case even comes with a Micro USB cable.

We wouldn’t rely on the case for drop protection, however, because it leaves your phone’s sides and screen exposed. Nonetheless, it offers a decent amount of power for the money.

Here’s our very first look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus
Galaxy Tab S9+ leaked images

Samsung’s existing slate of Android tablets is one of the finest hardware of its kind, and it appears that the company doesn’t want to stray from the winning formula any time soon. Leaker @OnLeaks has shared renders of the Galaxy S9 Plus, and they bear a striking similarity to its Galaxy Tab S8 series predecessor.

The sleek metallic build with sharp edges is here to stay, and so is the contrasting magnetic strip at the back. The bezel size also remains familiar, while the horizontally positioned selfie camera is once again positioned at the same spot.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro is shaping up to be a Galaxy S23 Ultra killer
Leaked render of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro.

It seems like an official announcement for the Motorola Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro is just around the corner, but new leaks have already painted a clear (and flattering) picture of what fans should expect from the smartphones.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro, specifically, is shaping up to be an excellent device if the leaks are accurate — and it could be a surprising competitor of the excellent Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The best Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus cases: 15 you can’t ignore
A Samsung Galaxy S23 next to a Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus.

Samsung's Galaxy S23 Plus is the sweet spot in the company's new Galaxy S23 lineup — an ideal pick for folks who want a larger screen, but don't need all the bells and whistles of the much pricier and more sophisticated Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The Galaxy S23 Plus offers the same incredible performance as its more expensive sibling. Thanks to the custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy silicon inside, it will run rings around any other Android smartphone on the market today and likely stay ahead of that curve for quite some time, putting it among the best Android phones in 2023. That's not all, though, as you're also getting an expansive 6.6-inch display with the same AMOLED 2X technology as the rest of the lineup, plus a powerful 50-megapixel (MP) main camera that's joined by 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto shooters.
