Today’s drones come in all shapes and sizes, but few of them are as small as the Skeye Nano Drone. Our DT Shop currently offers this drone for $25, which is $24 off its normal retail price, and $44 off its current Amazon price.
Measuring a whopping 4 x 4 x 2.2 centimeters, the Skeye Nano Drone is small enough to comfortably sit in the palm of your hand. Because it’s so small, you can even fly it inside your house. Yet despite its small size, Skeye manages to squeeze in a built-in camera capable of taking pictures and recording video in 480p resolution. Digital Trends reviewed this drone in July and we found that for a drone of this size, video footage was impressively stable.
The included controller lets you adjust the drone’s sensitivity settings and is advertised to work up to 500 feet away from the drone. However, keep in mind that this drone is so small that you probably don’t want to fly it too far away because you could lose complete sight of it. Night flying is made possible thanks to built-in LED lights, but with a drone this small, you probably don’t want to take it too far.
Like most drones, the Skeye Nano has different flying modes for beginner, advanced, and seasoned pilots. The drone can also perform flips at the push of a button, which makes it fun to fly for pilots of all skill levels.
Although the drone’s extremely small size made it slightly challenging to control in terms of altitude, we found that it was pretty stable when flying side to side or when making turns.
According to Skeye, it can be charged in as little as 30 minutes and a single charge provides about three to four minutes of flight time.
The Skeye Nano Drone comes with a 4-channel, 2.4GHz transmitter, USB charging cable, and four spare rotors. You can check out our video review here.
