If watching Rick and crew doesn’t satisfy your post apocalyptic zombie killing cravings, don’t worry — you can do it at home in November. Telltale announced a November release of their season three installment The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series — A new Frontier.
Season three will be available to play on consoles, PC/Mac, and on mobile platforms. Fans can also purchase a Season Pass Disc for consoles that promises the premier episode for season three in addition to access to the rest of the upcoming episodes in the season.
Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale games told fans that not only would the new installment be a continuation of the series but also would be “an all-new beginning set nearly four years after the outbreak events of Season One.” Bruner described A New Frontier as “a harrowing and horrific drama, that will explore beyond what it means to survive in a world ravaged by the undead, and will see our characters confronting the new rules of order and justice in a land being brutally reclaimed and rediscovered by what’s left of humanity itself.”
Players will take control of Javier, a new character in the saga, who is fighting to keep his family intact. They will also play as Clementine, now a teenager, as she fights to protect her own family and the secrets she carries.
Executive producer Kevin Boyle commented, “When we began the series, we explored what it meant to protect a character like Clementine at all costs. Years later, meeting her for the first time, Javier will begin to unravel the mystery of who Clementine has become, as her story intersects with his — both of them still driven by the things they value most long after society’s collapse.”
Telltale told fans to expect updates and news on the series as the release date approaches, and to check out the company’s official site, Twitter, and the Facebook page regularly for the latest and greatest on A New Frontier.
