“In line with most airline carry-on requirements, it gives professionals the peace of mind of having their most valuable possessions near them at all times,” according to Manfrotto. “When it’s time to shoot, the roller becomes a workstation, with gear and accessories visible and easily within reach.”
Depending on the arrangement, Manfrotto says the Pro Light Reloader-55 can fit three pro DSLR bodies and eight lenses. It can also fit a gripped DSLR with an attached 400mm lens, or a 500mm if detached from the body (these are the big lenses you might see sports photographers use). The customizable dividers can even be set up to fit a Canon C100 professional camcorder with a two-light kit. The bag has dedicated padded compartments for a tablet (up to 10 inches) and a laptop (up to 17 inches), and both zippered compartments provide direct access to them.
On the exterior, there is a side pocket for a tripod. Front and side pouches on the exterior and interior store smaller accessories. The 85mm wheels are user replaceable.
Using Manfrotto’s Camera Protection System, the bag is designed to keep gear safe by absorbing shocks and reduces vibrations, while a water-resistant exterior (water-repellent Pro Light Rip-Stop nylon fabric) keeps gear dry. A foldout rain cover is also included when the weather gets bad. The Transportation Security Administration-approved zipper lock means you can keep the gear secured.
The bag is Manfrotto’s first with the Reloader designation and joins a current roller line-up of seven options. The bag retails for $360.
