These 'Destiny: Rise of Iron' guns will keep you entertained

Destiny‘s writing has been endlessly derided over its two-year lifespan, but that mockery ignores one crucial aspect: the game’s brilliant gun names. Destiny‘s upper-tier “exotic” weapons not withstanding, the game’s weaponry has — without fail — been exquisitely monikered. The new guns in this week’s release, Rise of Iron, are no exception.

How to fast travel in V Rising
A vampire roams a town at night in V Rising.

One of the key features of vampires, at least in their original depiction, is their ability to take the form of a bat to quickly traverse the night. In V Rising, you technically can shapeshift but it won't make a big impact on your ability to travel. You have all the normal weaknesses of the mythical creature, such as aversion to sunlight and the need to suck blood in order to survive, but you must stick to normal methods of transportation most of the time. Getting on a horse certainly speeds up your traversal, but the map is quite large and sometimes you just want to get from one side to the other quickly.

Fast travel appears in V Rising in two different ways: Waygates and Cave Passages. Both of these have their own benefits, drawbacks, and ways to unlock them. However, as you grow in power, you will need to visit the far-reaching areas of the world much faster and much more often, making fast travel invaluable. Here's how both methods of fast travel work in V Rising and where you can find them.

V Rising – Legacy of Castlevania crossover will let you fight Simon Belmont
Castlevania's Simon Belmont in V Rising.

Stunlock Studios and Konami have revealed that the survival crafting game V Rising will feature Castlevania crossover content when it leaves early access this May.

V Rising is a survival game where players control a vampire, and this crossover adds Simon Belmont as a hunter who's constantly trying to track down and kill players. If Simon Belmont is defeated, players will be able to equip and use his whip as a weapon. While that content is being added to V Rising free of charge as soon as it hits 1.0, a paid Legacy of Castlevania Premium Pack DLC will also be released. Purchasing it will net players Castlevania-themed decorations and music for their lair. These are all fitting crossover spots for a game that already heavily features vampires and pumps some life back into an unfortunately dormant game series.
