Season 2 trailer for ‘Fuller House’ promises more of the same

Fuller House | Official Trailer - Season 2 [HD] | Netflix
Just as we wrap up the Halloween festivities, Netflix is taking the opportunity to get viewers excited with a holiday-themed trailer for the second season of Fuller House, its revival of popular ‘80s and ‘90s sitcom Full House.

Judging from the two-minute trailer, season 2 will serve up much of the same, with plenty of cheesiness, laugh-track-worthy one-liners, and throwbacks to the ‘80s and ‘90s. It will deal with DJ Tanner’s (Candice Cameron-Bure) love triangle cliffhanger from season 1, and some new potential love interests for Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), including Kimmy Gibbler’s (Andrea Barber) younger brother.

Forbes called the first season “the ultimate form of nostalgia-bait,” and that hasn’t changed, as evidenced by at least one set of guest stars this season: ‘80s/‘90s boy band New Kids on the Block.

Many other original cast members (no, still not the Olsen Twins) will be back as we catch glimpses of dad Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) desperately trying to be hip, Uncle Jesse and Aunt Rebecca (John Stamos and Lori Loughlin) engaging in their usual public displays of affection, and Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) still being, well, Uncle Joey. Interestingly, the trailer barely shows Max (Elias Harger), the clever, hilarious, and wise-beyond-his-years middle son who stole many a scene in the first season.

The second season of Fuller House will begin streaming on Netflix on December 9. Jeff Franklin, who created the original series Full House, shopped a sequel for 10 years before Netflix finally saw nostalgia magic and decided to make it happen. It’ll be interesting to see if the nostalgia has worn off or if subscribers will continue to tune in. After all, there’s only so much “how rude,” “have mercy,” and “cut it out” we can take. Or is there? The original series did air for eight seasons, after all.

Yellowjackets season 2 ending, explained
The teen ladies in Yellowjackets wearing masks.

Yellowjackets has been a hit for Showtime, and the series has now moved to Paramount+ following the latter’s announcement to integrate programming. The thriller drama, inspired by real-life events like Donner Party and the Andes flight disaster of 1972, has drawn comparisons to other shows and movies like Lord of the Flies and The Wilds. The story about a high school girls’ soccer team that gets stuck in the wilderness when their plane crashes is terrifying enough. But the gruesome, traumatizing journey they go on has fans talking, especially now that the second season has ended in a fiery, death-fueled blaze.

The story is told in two timelines, during the ‘90s in the wilderness and 30 years later. It’s evident that none of the surviving women has truly reconciled what happened to them and the horrendous things they did while stranded. Despite their efforts to move on, something, or some force, continues to bring them back.

House of the Dragon season 2: Everything we know so far
Alicent and Rhaenyra clutch each other in House of the Dragon.

While it may not be coming this year, long-time Game of Thrones fans are already eagerly anticipating the return of House of the Dragon. The show became a genuine phenomenon in its first season, which told the story of the friendship between Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower as it soured into what would eventually become an all-out civil war.
HBO renewed the show for a second season almost as soon as the first season began airing, and we already know plenty about where the show will be headed when it returns.
This post does not contain any spoilers for the show’s second season, but it is informed by Fire & Blood, the Targaryen history by George R.R. Martin that the series is adapted from, and will obviously continue to focus on the conflict between Rhaenyra and her younger half-brother Aegon as they battle for control of the Iron Throne.

What will happen in season 2 of House of the Dragon?
House Of The Dragon | Official Teaser | HBO Max
Without delving into spoilers, the second season of the show is expected to pick up soon after the first season left off. Fans of the show will likely recall that that season ended with Aemond Targaryen’s dragon inadvertently attacking and killing Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys and his dragon. Lucerys’s death is what ultimately brings what had been a simmering conflict closer to a boil, and leads to a much greater level of death and destruction.
We also know, thanks to an interview with one of the show’s writers, that a moment known to fans as Blood and Cheese will be included on the show. The exact details of that moment are best left to the imagination, but suffice it to say that it’s a moment likely to leave many fans talking.
