MSI outs 5 more gaming motherboards based on AMD’s AM4 processor socket

Just recently, MSI listed a batch of new motherboards based on AMD’s just-launched AM4 processor socket (seat). There are five in all, packing support for DDR4 memory clocked at 3,200MHz, USB 3.1 Gen2 (10Gbps) connectivity, Military Class 4 components, premium audio, and loads more. All five are compatible with the new Ryzen processors, seventh-generation A-Series APUs, and seventh-gen Athlon chips.

That’s everything in a nutshell. Unfortunately, we have no idea when the five motherboards will hit the market, or for how much. However, MSI currently offers a large number of other motherboards based on AMD’s new AM4 processor socket that customers can buy through Newegg right here. These include the X370 Xpower Gaming Titanium ($300), the X370 SLI Plus ($150), the X370 Gaming Pro Carbon ($180), and many, many more.

New reports suggest that AMD's future processors and graphics cards may be stalled due to issues at TSMC, the semiconductor foundry from which AMD gets its chips.

There have been signals suggesting that TSMC has encountered problems with its upcoming 3nm process yields. The Intel Alder Lake generation of processors is expanding, adding entry-level options into the mix. One such processor is the budget Core i3-12100.

The CPU has been benchmarked in several games, giving an accurate portrayal of its gaming prowess. It was also tested against the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. Surprisingly, the entry-level option from Intel managed to defeat its AMD rival.

A long-awaited announcement is finally here: AMD has just teased the upcoming release of the next generation of processors, dubbed the AMD Ryzen 7000 series.
