Changes are afoot at eBay Motors. The online marketplace wants to be your one-stop-internet-shop for everything automotive. In addition to a new Motors homepage, eBay has added TrueCar pricing for U.S. buyers and tire installation services.

U.S. customers are already pretty busy on eBay Motors. According to the company, people buy three auto parts or accessories there every second, one exterior part every 3 seconds, one wheel or tire every 7 seconds, and an entire engine or engine component every 12 seconds. And now the company is making a play to significantly boost those numbers.

You can now start at the eBay Motors homepage to find OEM or aftermarket auto parts, search for a new or used vehicle, check out daily deals, and see what’s going on in the eBay Garage Community and blog. As before you can save information on your own vehicles, check out car, bike, or other automotive events in your area, or even sell your own parts or vehicle via the portal

Now eBay Motors includes a link to partner TrueCar to give buyers insights into new car pricing via the company’s Certified Dealer Network. Even if a buyer decides to buy outside the TrueCar dealer network, the pricing data is helpful.

U.S. buyers won’t have eBay Motors’ new “seamless” tire installation service until the scheduled rollout this summer, but it starts this month in Germany — which explains the German in the screenshot above. Similar to the installation service available with online tire and wheel seller TireRack, people who buy tires on eBay Motors will have the option of shipping their purchased tires directly to a local recommended independent shop that will mount and balance them on your vehicle at pre-negotiated rates.

Adding TrueCar pricing and tire installation services to its existing service will certainly make eBay Motors stronger. And the improved eBay Motors homepage makes it easy to locate the service you need.

Carryover services and resources includes WeGoLook on-site inspection service for used cars and trucks, RVs, motorcycles, or boats at discounted rates. eBay Motors also offers Assurant Protection Program extended service contracts for vehicles and parts, and a Vehicle Protection Program. The latter is included at no charge for eligible vehicles purchased on eBay Motors to protect against non-delivery, missing titles, and major undisclosed defects.
