DAZN: What it is, how to get it, and everything else you need to know

What is DAZN

Online streaming is quickly replacing cable and satellite services as the go-to way for people to enjoy their shows and movies at home, and although it took a while for broadcasters like ESPN to catch up, recent years have seen the gradual rollout of new streaming services made just for sports fans. Online sports streaming services are an especially good way to stream live boxing and MMA, and DAZN is shaping up to give ESPN+ a run for its money.

For cord-cutters who can’t get enough of boxing and mixed martial arts (beyond just Top Rank Boxing and UFC), DAZN will be a breath of fresh air, allowing you to enjoy more than 100 live fight nights — no pay-per-view fees required — right from your web browser or mobile, the DAZN app, or other compatible streaming devices. Here’s everything you need to know about what DAZN has to offer and how you can get started.

What it costs

DAZN’s month-to-month plan rings in at $25. This allows for more flexibility if you just want to try it out for a few months. If you want to save a few bucks, DAZN has two year-long membership plans. If you pay for a full year in one lump sum, it costs $225. If you commit to a full year but want to spread the payments out over 12 months, you can sign up for the flexible program and pay $20 per month, equaling $240 at the end of the year.

What you get

DAZN is mostly geared towards fighting, although it does feature some other stuff as well. DAZN has partnered up with several fighting promotions; the most notable of these are Matchroom USA, Golden Boy Promotions, and World Boxing Super Series for boxing, while MMA fans can stream Bellator and Combate Americas.

Along with fighting, DAZN subscribers can enjoy live action from Major League Baseball, including the MLB live look show ChangeUp. This exclusive new show features expert analysis and highlights of the best plays of recent games, and it airs on every night of every week so you can get your baseball fix any time.

What you need

DAZN, Like other popular cord-cutting services, is fully compatible with most modern devices capable of online streaming. The DAZN mobile app is available for both iOS and Android, allowing you to watch fights and other content on your smartphone or tablet. You can also stream DAZN right on your computer, as it works with common web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Internet Explorer and Opera.

If you’re a dedicated couch potato and nothing beats watching on a full-size TV (we understand), you can do that, too. Modern smart TVs and streaming devicesRoku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Google ChromeCast, and more — can all be used to watch DAZN, and it’s also compatible with the Xbox One S/X and PlayStation 4 gaming consoles. Any or all of these devices can stream DAZN content either live or on-demand. All you need is a good internet connection and, of course, a DAZN subscription.

YouTube TV drops SNY: How to watch the Mets all season
Baseball on TV

Mets fans you subscribed to YouTube TV just to watch their favorite team were hit with a nasty surprise this week: YouTube TV is losing SportsNet New York, the regional network that plays the Mets games that aren't broadcast nationally. YouTube said they couldn't reach an agreement with SNY but hope to in the future. For now, all YouTube TV subscribers will lose access to SNY on July 1.

In order to catch every Mets game, you'll have to subscribe to a different live TV streaming service. Thankfully Fubo, one of the best ones out there, still has SNY. Read on to see how to stream Mets games once you quit YouTube TV.

FITE TV and FITE+: Everything you need to know
what is fite tv 2020 sports

As much as it pains fight fans to say, combat sports have drifted from the mainstream. We're past the days of Friday night fights on network TV. Even HBO has dropped its boxing programming. But where mainstream broadcasters have slowed their coverage, streaming has picked up the slack. This is actually good news for cable cord-cutters. DAZN, ESPN+ and Showtime are some of the biggest boxing, MMA and wrestling streamers. FITE TV is another streaming site to consider. If you want to watch boxing and other combat sports, you should get a FITE+ subscription. There are a few different options that we'll break down below.
What's is FITE TV?

FITE is a combat sports streaming website that features live boxing, wrestling, MMA, and various other sports. It has at least one channel streaming content 24/7, as well as special events and even pay-per-view fights. It has a wealth of pre-recorded content, such as fight replays, interviews and documentaries. FITE has found a niche in less common combat sports. For instance, if you're a bare knuckle boxing fan, there is no better site to watch matches on that FITE. If you love professional wrestling, but WWE doesn't scratch the itch for more local, amateur events, FITE has your back. If you've recently stumbled onto the craze of slap fighting, FITE TV is your home for watching the championships.
Is FITE TV free?
Yes, some content on FITE TV is free. There are several different tiers of content though. Just logging in on a free account will get you access to the FITE 24/7 free streaming channel. This is basically a cable TV channel that streams constantly. The content on FITE 24/7 is primarily replays of events that previously aired on a FITE+ special or PPV. They also occasionally air free countdown shows to the paid events.

What is Paramount Plus? Price, plans, and what you can watch
Paramount Plus logo on an Apple TV.

Paramount Plus — the streaming service once known as CBS All Access — has come a long way in a relatively short amount of time. It started as the streaming home for all things CBS. But executives quickly saw the writing on the well. Streaming was the future, and CBS was an America-only brand.

So in March 2021, a pivot occurred. CBS All Access became Paramount Plus. And soon thereafter, parent company ViacomCBS transitioned into Paramount Global, taking its streaming service worldwide, taking with it exclusive content that otherwise might have remained domestic. (Some still has different global distributors, but that's another problem for another time.)
