GameStop revealed its Black Friday plans, which include massive sales on recently released video games. The retailer will have next-gen consoles available in-store as well.
The Black Friday ad notes that the players can grab a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X on Black Friday, but a limited stock will be available. It’s not clear just how limited that number will be per store, with the ad noting that stores will stock a minimum quantity of two of each. The ad does not mention the Xbox Series S, nor whether the available PlayStations will be discless or not.
The sale also includes tons of games. The recently released Watch Dogs: Legion will sell for $33, which is nearly half off its current price. Madden NFL 21 and Marvel’s Avengers are both $27, while Star Wars Squadrons will cost $17. All those prices eclipse those featured in Target’s first round of Black Friday sales, though the retailer says it will price match throughout the month.
Most notable in the sale is the Xbox Series X version of Gears Tactics. The next-gen game will be available for $30, which is a massive sale considering its a launch title for Microsoft’s new consoles.
PlayStation owners can grab a handful of Sony’s biggest 2020 titles during the sale. Ghost of Tsushima and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be available for $40, while The Last of Us Part 2 will be cut down to $30.
Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch owners aren’t getting too many perks. Recent games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Paper Mario: The Origami King are not included in the sale. Those looking to buy the console itself can get one on Black Friday with three months of Nintendo Online included.
