Persona 5 Strikers is finally coming to the West on February 23. The Dynasty Warriors-style game will also get a digital deluxe edition that provides early access and extras.
The announcement confirms a leak from over the weekend, which revealed the Persona 5 spinoff’s release date. The official version of the release date reveal trailer is now live on Atlus’ YouTube channel. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The PlayStation 4 version of the game will be playable on PlayStation 5.
The game is getting a digital deluxe edition, which features plenty of extras. Fans will receive access to the game four days early by ordering the special edition, allowing them to start playing the game on February 19. The bundle comes with a digital art book and soundtrack with over 40 songs, plus a pair of behind-the- scenes videos and extra background music from previous Persona games. The deluxe edition includes an All-Out Attack pack, which features armor, Persona points, and skills.
Physical goodies will be available at various retailers. GameStop is offering a Joker pin with purchases, while fans can get a Steelbook case when they buy the Nintendo Switch version of the game at Best Buy.
The upcoming game is a big deal for fans of both Persona and the musou genre, which describes action games created in the vein of Dynasty Warriors. Nintendo recently released Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which renewed fan interest in that style of game. A similar success story for Persona 5 Strikers could help popularize a genre that’s previously been considered niche in the gaming industry.
