Despite having an impressive catalog of films and TV shows that would be the envy of any other streaming service, Hulu has a distinct weakness when it comes to the fantasy genre. As part of the normal churn of movies coming in and out on a monthly basis, Hulu’s fantasy lineup is largely depleted of some very familiar classics. To be frank, it’s a pretty weak fantasy library at Hulu for now. Regardless, there are still a few fantasy flicks worth checking out on Hulu. King Arthur: The Legend of the Sword isn’t the traditional Arthurian legend that you may be familiar with. It was an attempt to build out the franchise by giving each major character their own film. But since that shared cinematic universe didn’t take off, we only have the origin story of Arthur, as played by Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam. Decades after Arthur’s uncle, Vortigern (Jude Law), seized the throne of Camelot and murdered Arthur’s parents, the fabled Sword in the Stone surfaces. The Mage (Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey) appears and helps Arthur to emerge from hiding to embrace his destiny and take back the kingdom that is rightfully his.

Meanwhile, a disgraced elf named Patch (Dudley Moore) is hired by a toy executive, B.Z. (John Lithgow), to co-opt Christmas and make it their own.
