Genshin Impact Eula builds

As a Cryo Claymore user, Eula usurps the throne previously held by launch character Chongyun, who frequently found himself outperforming other characters of the same rarity in previous patches.

Her kit is predominantly focused on dealing a high amount of physical damage and using Cryo to trigger Elemental Reactions like Superconduct rather than Freeze. Her power ramps up as she accumulates stacks of Grimheart with her Elemental Skill, culminating in a final explosion of ice you’ll want to trigger as the fight ends or before switching into another character.

Skill Effect
Elemental Skill Press: Eula slashes with her sword, dealing Cryo damage and gaining a stack of Grimheart on hit, increasing her defense and interruption resistance.

Hold: Eua consumes every stack of Grimheart, lowering the physical and Cryo resistance of nearby enemies and dealing AoE Cyro damage for each stack consumed.

Elemental Burst Active: Eula deals AoE Cryo damage and creates a Lightfall Sword. Each of Eula’s damage-dealing normal attack, elemental skill, and elemental burst hits charge the Lightfall Sword, which eventually explodes for physical AoE damage.
Talent 1: Roiling Rime If 2 stacks of Grimheart are consumed upon unleashing the Holding Mode of Icetide Vortex, a Shattered Lightfall Sword will be created that will explode immediately, dealing 50% of the basic Physical DMG dealt by a Lightfall Sword created by Glacial Illumination.
Talent 2: Wellspring of War-Lust When Glacial Illumination is cast, the DC of Icetide Vortex is reset and Eula gains 1 stack of Grimheart.
Constellations Effect
C1: Tidal Illusion Every time Icetide Vortex’s Grimheart stacks are consumed, Eula’s Physical DMG is increased by 30% for 6s. Each stack consumed will increase the duration of this effect by 6s up to a maximum of 18s.
C2: Lady of Seafoam Decreases the DC of Icetide Vortex’s Holding Mode, rendering it identical to Press CD.
C3: Lawrence Pedigree Increased the level of Glacial Illumination by 3.
C4: The Obstinacy of One’s Inferiors Lightfall Swords deal 25% increased DMG against opponents with less than 50% HP.
C5: Chivalric Quality Increases the level of Icetide Vortex by 3.
C6: Noble Obligation Lightfall Swords created the Glacial Illumination start with 5 stacks of energy. Normal Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts have a 50% chance to grant the Lightfall Sword an additional stack of energy.

As you can tell from her ability descriptions, Eula needs to stay on the field to benefit from her stacking skills. The longer she fights, the more powerful her eventual bursts of damage become. Her constellations are relatively simple as well, mostly decreases the time it takes her to reach peak performance.

For those worried about the slower attack speed of claymores making for a sluggish-feeling powerhouse, rest easy: Eula’s normal attacks are quite a bit faster than most other Claymore users. Give her a try in the Eula Character Trial screen before you count her out of your team composition equations.

Eula build guide: Best weapons for Eula

Eula can make use of plenty of claymores currently available throughout the game. Whether it’s a five-star Gatcha weapon or a freebie from Dragonspine, so long as it’s rocking ATK as its main stat and ATK percentage as a sub stat, Eula’s damage will scale well. Here are the top give weapons for Eula:

  1. Song of Broken Pines
  2. Wolf’s Gravestone
  3. Serpent Spine
  4. Skyward Pride
  5. Snow-Tombed Starsilver

Song of Broken Pines

This new weapon applies a stacking buff with each attack to coincide with Eula’s own. After accumulating just four stacks through normal attacks, each of your characters will gain increased ATK and ATK SPD for 12 seconds, making it easier for Eula to build up her own Grimheart stacks and her Lightfall Sword.

Wolf’s Gravestone

Wolf’s Gravestone is a pretty straightforward DPS weapon. On top of offering solid offensive stats and a 20% ATK boost, the whole team can bag 40% ATK for 12 seconds when Eula strikes an opponent with less than 30% HP every 30 seconds.

Serpent Spine

As Eula benefits the longer she’s on the field, Serpent Spine is a no-brainer. For every four seconds she’s on the field, she’ll deal 6% more damage, stacking up to five times. She’ll lose one stack each time she’s hit and take 3%/6%/9%/12%/15% more damage for each stack, but the Def bonus from his Grimheart stacks should offset this somewhat.

Skyward Pride

This gatcha weapon increases damage dealt by a respectable degree, but its real power lies in its active effect. After using your Elemental Burst, your next eight subsequent normal or charged attacks will unleash a blade of wind that deals 80% of your ATK as DMG to enemies in its path. Given you’ll be relying on these to build up the Lightfall Sword conjured with said Elemental Burst, it’s simply a lot of free damage.

Snow-Tombed Starsilver

Master the puzzles of Dragonspine, and you’ll get the Snow-Tombed Starsilver claymore for free. This handy blade drops a damage-dealing icicle on your enemy’s head from time to time, but the damage more than doubles if the target is affected by Cryo (which happens to be Eula’s forte).

Eula build guide: Best artifacts for Eula

Eula Best Artifacts
  • Four-piece set: Pale Flame
  • Two-piece set: Pale Flame + two-piece set — Bloodstained Chivalry

As a main DPS, Eula’s reliance on Normal Attacks means Physical DMG is more important than large amounts of Elemental Mastery. You’ll want a tiny bit of Elemental Recharge to increase the availability of her Elemental Burst, but outside of that, it’s all raw damage stats like ATK percentage and Crit DMG/Rate.

Lucky for future Eula players, the brand-new Pale Flame set introduced in the first part of the 1.5 patch suits her perfectly. Bloodstained Chivalry can be mixed in for an identical two-piece set bonus, but as the four-piece set bonus of Pale Flame doubled its two-piece set bonus on top of increased ATK on hit, a complete Pale Flame set is the best approach.

Slot Main stat Sub stats
Feather ATK Crit DMG, Crit Rate, ATK %, Energy Recharge
Flower HP Crit DMG, Crit Rate, ATK %, ATK
Hourglass ATK % Crit DMG, Crit Rate, ATK, Energy Recharge
Goblet Physical Damage Bonus % Crit DMG, Crit Rate, ATK %, ATK
Headpiece Crit DMG / Crit Rate Crit DMG/Crit Rate, HP %, ATK, Energy Recharge

Eula build guide: Best team comps for Eula

Genshin Impact best team Eula

Eula makes her mark as a main DPS, meaning any team should realistically be built to support and help set up her skills for maximum damage. As a heavy-hitting Claymore user who prides herself on AoE bursts as the fight goes on, her knack for knocking targets back gets in her way much like Diluc’s unique toolkit. Because of that, these are the best team compositions we can imagine based on a few early test runs:

Eula, Fischl, Venti, Bennett

In this situation, Venti serves his usually purpose of pulling mobs together with his readily available Elemental Burst. After that, swap to Fischl and drop Oz on the resulting vortex. Now, with the enemies pinned in place, Eula can deal immense AoE damage without worrying about knocking the baddies away from her bursts in the process.

Oz, in the meantime, will keep zapping the pack as Eula swings her sword, applying Electro for Eula to Superconduct with her Cryo skills. Bennett’s Elemental Burst can either serve to heal here or boost Eula’s already staggering ATK, increasing the damage her own Elemental Burst will deal when it finally pops. If you’re short on Fischl, Lisa can fill in for Oz with her own Elemental Burst.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s release date just got delayed and moved up at the same time
A Baldur's Gate 3 character lights the way.

The PC and PS5 versions of Baldur's Gate 3 have gotten new release dates, leading to a weird situation where the game's launch has been moved up and delayed at the same time.
Originally announced for Google Stadia in 2019, Baldur's Gate 3 is a successor to BioWare's classic Dungeons & Dragons RPG franchise and has been in early access on PC since October 2020. Its 1.0 PC release, as well as a PS5 port, were confirmed to launch on August 31 earlier this year, but that is no longer the case. In the latest community update, developer Larian Studios confirmed that Baldur's Gate 3 launches for PC on August 3 and for PS5 on September 6.
Larian admits that "this means the PC version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released at a time where you’ll have more time to play it," moving its launch away from late August and early September heavy hitters like Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon and Starfield. And now, the new PS5 release date for Baldur's Gate 3 gives PlayStation players a console-exclusive RPG of their own (albeit a temporary one) on the day Starfield comes out.

Still, the September 6 date is technically a delay, which Larian also explained its reasoning behind in the community update. "Baldur’s Gate 3 is targeting 60 frames-per-second, and we’re close to achieving that on the platform but need a bit more extra time," it explained. "We don’t want to compromise on quality and feel it would be a shame to downscale to 30 fps or make other compromises to hit an arbitrary date. We understand that folks may be disappointed with this, but we're close enough to reaching new heights for RPGs on the system that the benefits of a short delay outweigh the downsides of rushing the PS5 release and having to downscale."
So to clarify, Baldur's Gate 3 first launches on PC across Steam, GOG, and Nvidia GeForce Now on August 3. Then, a PS5 port comes out on September 6. Larian Studios also confirms that a Mac version is in the works and that it's "optimistic" about Xbox works once it works through the kinks of getting it to run well on both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

A person plays Crash Bandicoot using a PS5 DualSense controller.

PlayStation Plus has gone through several iterations and changes since it was first introduced. Originally, the service wasn't required for online play at all and rewarded subscribers with extra discounts and free monthly games. Once the PlayStation 4 generation began, it was required for online play, but still offered those same benefits.

Now, PS Plus is divided into three different tiers of subscriptions. The basic tier, PS Plus Essential, still gets three games per month added, while the Extra and Premium tiers will have a varying number of games added to their catalogs. With hundreds of games already and more coming and going all the time, even the most dedicated gamer won't be able to play everything on offer. To help you get the most bang for your buck, and so that no hidden gems go under your radar, here are all the best games to play on PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium right now.

The DualSense wireless controller that arrives with your PS5 is by no means an inferior gaming product. However, it does fall short for players who want to do a little more with their control methods.

Sony has acknowledged some shortcomings with its release of the new DualSense Edge, as well as the upcoming project Leonardo that caters to gamers with disabilities, but there are some third-party options that can fit your needs just as well.
