Dead Rising 2 Trailer

It is not uncommon for games to miss their initial release dates. Delays happen all the time, and in many cases those delays prevent a game from being released with glitches, rushed graphics, or a dozen other problems that could have been fixed with just a bit more time. You can now add Dead Rising 2 to the list of games that have been pushed back, but no reason has been given.

Originally scheduled for an August 31 release, Dead Rising 2 will now launch on September 28. Capcom has not announced whether or not this will affect the Dead Rising : Case Zero download, an Xbox Live exclusive DLC that acts as a prequel to the upcoming game, as well as a demo. Case Zero features Chuck Greene, the hero of the second game. It takes place three years before the events of Dead Rising 2,and shows Chuck’s first encounter with the zombie hordes.

If the problems are more than just minor polishes, the delay could be bad news for the eagerly awaited sequel. We’ll have to wait until September to find out.

Space Marine 2 devs to roll back controversial changes following fan outcry

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is set to get a much-needed update this week that'll roll back changes that made the game impossibly difficult for many players and caused outrage among fans.

Developer Saber Interactive announced that Patch 4.1 is set to release on Thursday, October 24, and it's coming with a ton of changes, along with explanations as to the changes made in the now controversial Patch 4.0. Game director Dmitriy Grigorenko posted a statement at the beginning of the patch notes thanking players for the feedback. He then goes into the reasoning behind some of the broader changes players were upset about.

I wish I played the original Romancing Saga 2 before its misguided remake

I’ve played a lot of video game remakes in the past few years, but it’s surprisingly rare that I play one without having played the original version first. Usually, my opinions on these projects are shaped by what came before. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Resident Evil 4, and Silent Hill 2 are all as interesting to engage with as they are because I understand the conversation between past and present. I don’t often dive into a remake without that helpful starting point, but Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven felt like a perfect place for me to try something new.

Square Enix’s latest remake breathes new life into its 1993 SNES classic, bringing its pixelated world into vibrant 3D instead of giving it the HD-2D treatment like Dragon Quest 3. It’s more ambitious than a lot of projects like it, completely rebuilding the original from the ground up rather than giving it a fresher coat of paint. On paper, that makes for a modern reimagining that can better realize a once-limited world.

Released alongside the game's anniversary update, The Lake House has you step into agent Kieran Estevez's shoes as she investigates the story behind one of the Federal Bureau of Control's research facilities.

Before Estevez can even venture down into the Lake House, you must acquire the proper keycard. And to do that, you'll have to figure out a six-digit code for a computer. Any Alan Wake 2 fan will know these puzzles well, and they're not always the easiest to figure out, so here's how to get the elevator keycard.
