Cee Lo Green – The Lady Killer
Master chameleon Cee Lo Green is back with his first solo work in six years. The Gnarls Barkley frontman has created a thematic album that is mostly based on some classic R&B but has hints of everything from soul, funk, pop, and rock ‘n’ roll. Standouts include hit single “F**k You” and a totally new spin on Band Of Horses’ “No One’s Gonna Love You.”
For fans of: Aloe Blacc, Kanye West, Gnarls Barkley
The Tallest Man On Earth – Sometimes The Blues Is Just A Passing Bird
Swedish folk-crooner The Tallest Man On Earth (aka Kristian Matsson) follows up his critically acclaimed full-length album The Wild Hunt with an EP of quieter songs, including the bluesy electric “The Dreamer” and the peaceful “Tangle In This Trampled Wheat.”
For fans of: Bob Dylan, Iron & Wine, Bon Iver
Hellogoodbye – Would It Kill You?
This pop band from Huntington, California brings the energy on their second album, following 2006’s Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!
