The Terminus, from Hungarian bicycle makers M55, is a futuristic piece of machinery that, if you have the money, $35,000 to be exact, will offer you a ride like no other. In some ways the Terminus acts as a sort of exoskeleton, the high end bike weighs in at 65 pounds, which is offset with the help of an electric motor built into its CNC-aluminum frame. Engine power is produced via pedaling that interconnects with sprockets and chains connected to the crankset. For example, the software featured in the engine will automatically detect if it needs to output more power based on the gradient and slope of the road with an rpm-probe to meter output. The motor itself is powered by lithium cells which put it’s overall range at 62 miles.
