Pictures: Apple’s iPod Nano now features multi-touch

It’s easy to get all swept up with iPhone 5 (I mean iPhone 4S, just as good right) madness and easily forget about the little guy, and that little guy is the iPod Nano. While Apple certainly had a lot to say about the latest iPhone 4S, the Nano was quietly bringing up the rear with it’s cute redesign and improved user-interface.

Tap, swoop, and swipe, it’s that easy with the new Nano, with the multi-touch integration, all one has to do is tap to play, tap to pause, or even tap Music to browse your collection by songs, albums, artists, playlists, etc. The nano will now even allow you to customize your Home screens and organize your music just the way you like.  There is even a little shake function on the iPod Nano that changes and shuffles to a new song in you music library. Oh, and did we mention the Nano is now packing a built-in FM Radio?!

Battery life is always important, and the new built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery on the Nano gives up to 24 hours of nonstop music, so those long runs or trips to the gym should be a piece of cake, no wait, scratch that…a piece of celery.

That brings us to the fitness aspect of the Nano which Apple is touting as the perfect device to get you into shape thanks to its built-accelerometer and Nike+ integration. Never one to shy away from making a fashion statement, Apple is also hoping iPod users will even start using their Nano’s as a glorified wristwatch.

A long-awaited Apple Pay feature is finally on your iPhone
Apple Pay Later

Apple announced Apple Pay Later last year when it revealed iOS 16 at WWDC 2022. The feature is finally rolling out to “randomly selected users” as of today, through a prerelease version of Apple Pay Later in the Wallet app. Those who have access to this prerelease version should have received an email to their Apple ID account, and they will need iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4.

This is a prerelease version of Apple Pay Later, and the full service will be rolling out to eligible iPhone users older than 18 in the U.S. in the “coming months.”

I won’t upgrade my Apple Watch Series 5 until Apple adds this one feature
Apple Watch Series 5 on wrist with a pink gradient Modular watch face

Since it debuted in 2015, the Apple Watch went from one of those products we didn’t know we needed to something that some of us literally cannot live without. It’s not just a smartwatch with notifications and other functionality for our iPhone, but a complete health, activity, and wellness tracker too.

I remember when the first Apple Watch came out, and I scoffed at it — I had a Fitbit at the time, so why would I need an Apple Watch? Now, it’s something I can’t be without, even for a day (got to keep that Move streak going!)
