Everything coming to Max (formerly HBO Max) in February 2024

Tokyo Vice Season 2 | Official Trailer | Max

The year may be young, but Max isn’t wasting any time in delivering the best programming around. February is stacked full of returning shows and series premieres, in addition to dozens of movies new and old being added to an already impressive lineup.

Recommended Videos

Max’s February schedule includes the debut of the last season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. How good is the Larry David comedy? We think it’s pretty, pretty, pre-tay good. Another great show returning for a new season is Tokyo Vice, the Michael Mann-produced series starring Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe. Not to be outdone, the movies column will be made even more attractive with the addition of one of 2023’s most-talked-about films, Dicks: The Musical. Yes, that’s a movie that actually exists.

Everything leaving Hulu in November 2024
Karen Gillan and Aaron Paul and Karen Gillan in Dual.

There's very good news for Hulu fans if you're concerned about the movies and TV shows leaving the streamer in November. For the most part, Hulu isn't losing much content at all in the penultimate month of 2024. That means more bang for your subscriber buck, which is good because prices went up recently. Get used to that yearly trend.

Throughout November, there are a handful of indie movies to check out from Hulu, including Dual, Terminal, and I Kill Giants. I've never seen The Man Who Killed Hitler and then the Bigfoot, which is another one of the exiting titles. If a film is audacious enough to have that name, then the main character better freakin' kill Hitler and then Bigfoot, in that order.

An elf looks at a man and woman at a desk in Elf.

You can really tell when it's November on Hulu, because that's when the Christmas movies start coming in for their seasonal visit. That means flicks like Elf, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Carol, The Polar Express, Four Christmases, and a bunch of made-for-TV movies that you've never heard of are coming throughout the month. One of those films is amusingly titled The Santa Stakeout, but we can't say whether it's good until we actually see it.

What we can vouch for are returning favorites like La La Land, National Treasure, The Last Duel, Aliens, and Predators. FX is also debuting a new miniseries called Say Nothing. If you've ever wanted to see Robert Downey Jr. during his first comeback attempt, Ally McBeal is also coming to Hulu.

Everything leaving Netflix in November 2024
Alyssa Sutherland in "Evil Dead Rise."

Netflix had a good couple of months where only a few titles of note left the streaming service's library. But in November, it's a full-on purge as TV shows and movies head for the door. Even Key & Peele, which has been on Netflix for years, is losing two seasons from its run. But there's not enough time to catch every episode unless you binge them all tonight.

The rest of the departures are spread throughout the month. These titles include Evil Dead Rise, A Man Called Otto, Sausage Party, Ali, First Man, and Glengarry Glen Ross. Although it's a good bet that the majority of these titles will be on other streamers soon, if you want to get the most out of your Netflix subscription, you should start making your viewing plans now. Our roundup of everything leaving Netflix in November 2024 is below. Our picks for the month are in bold.
