As soon as Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3 was revealed to have a crossover with the Fallout franchise, we all knew it had to include the Power Armor. Now that the season is out, we can confirm that there are not just one, but three different versions of the iconic metal suit to wear, but it may not be quite what you hoped.
Instead of being something you can find and use on the map to become an unstoppable killing machine in like the source material, the Power Armor you can get in Fortnite is just a set of skins. Even if it is just a skin, it looks intimidating, so why not add it to your collection? Here’s what it takes to unlock each version.
How to get the Power Armor skin in Fortnite
Because the sets of Power Armor are skins, they need to be unlocked through the battle pass and can’t be purchased as of now. The three versions are different-colored variants of the T-60 Power Armor and unlock at different tiers. Here’s what level you need to grind to in order to get them all.
- T-60 Power Armor: The default gray Power Armor is the first version you can unlock by reaching level 54 and earning nine battle stars on the battle pass.
- Hot Rod T-60 Power Armor: This flaming-red version of the armor also requires nine battle stars and grinding up to level 62.
- Black Knight T-60 Power Armor: The black and bloody version with glowing red eyes is the most unique, but also the hardest to get. You need to first earn all other battle pass rewards, earn 20 battle stars, and claim all the bonus rewards on page one to unlock it.
