This story is part of our Summer Gaming Marathon series.

Ubisoft is having a great 2024. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown started the year off strong by being critically acclaimed, while the successful launch of XDefiant and a promising early access roguelike in The Rogue Prince of Persia continued that momentum in May. Next week, Ubisoft will hold its annual Ubisoft Forward game showcase to show us what’s in store for the rest of the year.

More specifically, this is where we’ll be getting our next looks at Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. If you’re interested in those upcoming Ubisoft games, you’ll want to tune in. Here’s everything to know about 2024’s Ubisoft Forward showcase ahead of its airing.

Ubisoft Forward: Official Livestream - June 2024 | #UbiForward

Ubisoft will stream Ubisoft Forward 2024 live on Ubisoft’s YouTube and Twitch channels as well as its Ubisoft Connect platform. I’ve embedded the YouTube premiere for Ubisoft Forward above for your convenience. Those with connected Ubisoft and Twitch accounts can even get some in-game items for Rainbow Six Siege, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars Outlaws, Skull & Bones, The Crew Motorfest, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows by watching it there.

What to expect from Ubisoft Forward 2024

It’s very likely that two upcoming Ubisoft games will be the centerpieces of 2024’s Ubisoft Forward: Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The former is an open-world action-adventure game following a smuggler named Kay Vess between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The latter is the first Assassin’s Creed game that will be set in Japan, and it’s out in November. Expect deep dives into both of these games as they are prominent upcoming releases Ubisoft will want to promote.

Otherwise, it’s possible that Ubisoft also uses the event to showcase impending content for some of its actively updated games like XDefiant, The Rogue Prince of Persia, and Rainbow Six Siege. Hopefully, some surprises are packed in as well. This is pure speculation, but I’d love to see the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell remake here, even if it’s just via a teaser trailer.

PlayStation State of Play September 2024: how to watch and what to expect
Lego Aloy talking to Lego hotdog guy with a machine behind her ready to attack.

This has been a hectic month for Sony. It hit massive highs with the reception of Astro Bot and the reveal of the PlayStation 5 Pro but also saw astronomical lows with the shuttering of Concord and backlash toward the PS5 Pro's $700 price tag. Now, it's capping off this month with a new State of Play ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2024.

It will feature over 20 PS5 and PlayStation VR2 games, so PlayStation fans should definitely plan on tuning in. For those planning on doing so, I've rounded up all the pertinent information on how to watch and what to expect from the September 2024 State of Play.
When is the September 2024 State of Play?
The next State of Play will begin at 3 p.m. PT on September 24. Sony says the show will last over 30 minutes, so make sure you set aside some ample time to watch it this afternoon.

All Nix Treasure locations in Star Wars Outlaws
Kay Vass joined by her small alien companion called Nix in a futuristic city.

The only one Kay can really count on in Star Wars Outlaws is her adorable alien partner, Nix. This little guy can help you solve puzzles, distract enemies, and even fetch loot so you don't have to go over and pick it up yourself. For everything he does for you, the least you could do is reward him with some cool cosmetics. Nix Treasures are among many collectibles found all over the various planets in Star Wars Outlaws, but these little trinkets can be traded to special vendors for new accessories for Nix. Of course, there's also a shiny Trophy in it for you if you find them all. Unlike other Ubisoft games where you can scan the city and ping every map marker at once, you need to do a bit more hunting to find collectibles. Here are all the Nix Treasure locations.
How Nix Treasures work

Nix Treasures are different from other treasures that you can just loot or lockpick. When you get close to one, Nix will scurry off and lead you to where he senses the loot. Being a nimble little alien, he will take a direct route that Kay can't, which will force you to look around for the right path. All are collectible from the start of the game without requiring any later game tools or abilities.

All Jet Vault locations in Star Wars Outlaws
Kay tries to enter Crimson Dawn territory.

One of the most tantalizing distractions in Star Wars Outlaws is the Jet Kordo Holodiscs. After you find your first one and gain access to the Holotracker early on in the game, you will be teased with a hidden treasure from this legendary scoundrel that is just waiting to be looted. Unlock other treasures that you can just lockpick, Jet put a bit more thought into keeping his loot hidden from anyone unworthy of it. You will need to find six individual vaults across the galaxy before you can get the big score at the end, but it will all be worth it. If you're having trouble locating each vault, we'll put an X on your map so you can go right to them.
Jet Kordo rewards

After you've collected all the loot from the vaults and returned to Toshara, you can claim your last reward.
