Despite limited press, the Tushek Forego T700 isn’t the Slovenians’ first foray into the supercar game. Tushek, the brand behind the Forego T700, first began producing supercars in 2012 with the predecessor to the Forego T700, the Renovatio T500.
The Renovatio T500 was able to reach 62 miles-per-hour in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 197 mph thanks to its extremely lightweight body and 450 horsepower engine.
Following in the T500’s footsteps, the Forego T700 is built on a carbon fiber monocoque chassis – much like the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1 – and is said not to weigh any more than 2,200 pounds, according to MotorAuthority.
Under the hood of the Tushek Forego T700, buyers will find an Audi-sourced V8 producing more than 700 horsepower. While specific specs aren’t yet known, the extremely lightweight body in combination with a much more ferocious engine should result in some mind-bending acceleration and top speed figures.
Apparently the Slovenians haven’t decided where they’ll officially debut the Forego T700. If history is any indicator, it just might be at the Top Marques Monaco, which is in April. The Renovatio T500 was revealed at the Monaco event just last year.
While we love the idea of the lightweight, high-power supercar, we’re not sold on the styling, which reminds us of the Pontiac Fiero.
Pricing isn’t yet known either but the Renovatio T500 carried a stout $389,000 price tag. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Forego T700 tipped the $450,000 mark.
