Analyst: Xbox 2 Will Not Make MS Dominant

“The analyst suggests that once Microsoft Xbox 360 is launched, people will continue to get software for the PlayStation 2 anticipating the PlayStation 3 release. He believes few PlayStation 2 ownerswill get the new Xbox save for hardcore gamers who own numerous consoles. Mr. Pachter thinks only about 30% or a bit more of consumer gamers will get the Xbox 360 in foreseeable future even withMicrosoft’s advantage in terms of time-to-market over Sony and Nintendo.

“It’s just that I think the impact on current consumer behavior is limited to 30% of all consumers. Among pure PS2 owners (not those who own an Xbox and PS2), no one is sitting around saying, ‘Oooh I can’t wait for the Xbox 360!’ … 35% of the existing consumer base is going to slow its purchases in anticipation of the Xbox 360 launch. Next year, 50% of the consumer base will slow its purchases in anticipation of the PS3,” Mr. Pachter said.”

What to do with the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2
A knight with a gun in a burning square.

There are a lot of unique quest items to find in Remnant 2 – including a disgusting severed hand – and the rewards for using them the correct way can be excellent. One of these strange items is the Thaen Seed, which you will find when opening the Ornate Lockbox from The Widow's Court in Yaesha. This unusual seed has a variety of uses, but deciding on what option you'd like to choose will require you to consider what will benefit your build or gameplay experience most. We've compiled the ways you can use the Thaen Seed below to help you make this decision, so read on for everything you need to know.
How to use the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2
There are two ways to use the Thaen Seed, but you can only get one seed per playthrough of The Widow's Court, so choose wisely. Here are your options.
Plant the Thaen Seed in Ward 13
There is a spot in Ward 13's garden where you can plant the Thaen Seed, and this is the option we'd recommend overall. By planting the seed here, you'll be able to return later and pick some fruit that offers you the ability to evade death once after eaten – a pretty impressive boon that could potentially save a run if you get into a bad situation. However, the fruit changes based on how long you wait before picking it, meaning the longer you wait to remove it from the tree, the more HP it can revive you with. There are three options we're aware of, and we've listed them below.

Mature Thaen Fruit: Revives you with 30% of your max HP and makes you immune to status effects for 30 seconds.
Elder Thaen Fruit: Revives you with 40% of your max HP and makes you immune to status effects for 30 seconds.
Celestial Thaen Fruit: Revives you with 50% of your max HP and makes you immune to status effects for 30 seconds.

One of the foes you may come across is an optional boss called The Red Prince, who resides upon a throne within The Gilded Chambers of Losomn. While you won't encounter him on every visit to the biome, finding him provides you with an opportunity to earn some unique items in various ways. If you don't pay him tribute, though, be prepared for he'll be offended and rise from his throne prepared to strike you down – but we won't let that happen, will we?
How to beat The Red Prince
The Red Prince can be found in the Gilded Chambers while exploring Losomn. Speaking with him will provide you with a few different options, each offering its own unique rewards.

If you pay The Red Prince the three Crimson King Coins he requests, you'll skip the boss battle and earn the Bloody Steel Splinter, which can be exchanged with McCabe at Ward 13 for the Blood Draw weapon mod. These coins can be found by farming the teleporting Fae enemies throughout Losomn.
If you kill The Red Prince using the Assassin's Dagger, found by completing the Fae Council quest in Losomn, you'll earn the Crown of the Red Prince helmet.
