Cingular got some new hardware yesterday from Hewlett Packard for their users to play with. The HP iPAQ Pocket PC h6300 series offers users of this wireless provider three types of wireless capabilities.
The HP iPAQ h6300 series comes loaded with Windows Mobile 2003 software and incorporates GSM quad-band capabilities to make it usable around much of the globe. It addition, it also offers built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technologies for those times when a different type of unwired connection is desired. The Wi-Fi connection also has a special feature which automatically connects to the strongest network and automatically switches to an alternate if the primary drops.
In the memory area, the h6300 offers up 64MB of SDRAM, 64MB of ROM and up to 20MB of IPAQ File Store for the storage of critical data. This is all bolstered by an integrated Secure Digital card slot which supports SD and MMC type memory cards. Powering this Pocket PC handheld is a Texas Instruments OMAP 1510 processor.
Two models make up the h6300 series. Both have a 3.5-inch color LCD, weigh 6.7 ounces and sport a removable, snap-on thumb keyboard. The h6325 also houses a built-in VGA camera with 640 x 480 resolution and 8-bit color.
The h6320 has a suggested price of $579, while the h6325 prices at $599. More information on them can be found on HP’s website.
