RFID Industry Predicts Bright Forecast

Research and Markets has released a new study titled “RFID Industry–A Market Update”, providing an in-depth analysis of the RFID Industry. According to industry statistics, the worldwide market for RFID technology was US $1.49 billion in 2004. The growth prospects for the RFID market are very bright. The report discusses the RFID Industry figures to go up from US $1.95 billion in 2005 to $26.9 billion in 2015. The RFID vendors are increasingly gaining from the sale of RFID hardware components.

The applications of RFID include security/access control, toll collection, animal tracking, automobile immobilization, and many others. Organizations who already use RFID include: Wal-Mart, Metro AG, Target, Tesco, and the US Department of Defense. As the technology matures, it is predicted to gain market share in the consumer level as well.

5G’s big players make bold, exciting predictions for 2022

There’s a very good chance the phone you own right now has a 5G modem inside, and a similarly good chance you connect to a 5G signal on a somewhat regular basis, depending on where you live. We’ve already been sold on the speed benefits that come with a 5G connection, but what is there to look forward to in 2022 when it comes to 5G?

We asked experts from Qualcomm, AT&T, Verizon, and others to give us predictions about how 5G will advance over the coming year, and what exciting new developments the technology will drive. There's some good news for gamers in need of a new monitor -- Samsung has announced the release of the Samsung Odyssey G5 S32AG52, a new display tailored for an optimal gaming experience. The latest addition to the Samsung Odyssey line of gaming monitors, this screen offers a 165Hz refresh rate combined with a WQHD native resolution.

The new Odyssey G5 comes with a 32-inch IPS panel combined with HDR400, meaning it's High Dynamic Range-compatible at 400 nits. This is a respectable level of brightness and should be suitable for most gaming or entertainment needs. The combination of an IPS panel, known for its bright colors and contrasts, and HDR400 is likely to offer good color reproduction.

Demand for PCs will stay strong in 2021, but the future doesn’t look as bright

PCs began seeing an unprecedented surge in demand in 2020, but that won't last forever. According to the latest forecast from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker, the overall shipments of PCs worldwide are expected to grow throughout 2021 before dropping off in 2022.

IDC predicts the shipments of personal computing devices to grow 14.2% to 347 million units in 2021. This figure is down from its earlier prediction in May of 18% growth. Supply constraints are the main reason for the decrease. IDC predicted growth in the tablet market as well, but at a much slower pace of 3.4%.
