Meet Das Keyboard

The keys are blank. The keyboard is black. Is it cool looking or a silly idea? While the verdict may be out until individual user reviews say, the Das Keyboard from Austin, Texas-based Metadot is shipping now.

This USB compatible, $79.95 “uber geek” keyboard, according to a press release, is unlike other keyboards in the market in that all of the keys are blank. This supposedly forces users to stop looking down as they type, speeding up key memorization and “resulting in faster and more accurate typing”. In addition, the keyboard features five different levels of activation force, which corresponds to the strength of the finger typically used to strike it. The result, Metadot says, is more comfort for the user’s hands.

Meet LOQ, Lenovo’s new, aggressively priced PC gaming brand
The new Lenovo LOQ 15 and 16-inch gaming laptops from the top down.

LOQ, pronounced "lock," is a weird name, yes, but it's the name of a new brand in the world of PC gaming from Lenovo. You might wonder -- don't we already have Legion? Lenovo's Legion brand has made a name for itself over a number of years, especially in the world of gaming laptops.

And that's where LOQ is looking to make an impact as well. Lenovo is announcing a number of new gaming laptops -- the LOQ 15, 15i, 16, and 16i -- and the prices are aimed at a much more affordable demographic. These start at just $900, which puts them in competition with just a handful of new gaming laptops from budget brands like Asus' TUF, Acer's Nitro, Dell's G-series, HP's Victus, and MSI's new Cyborg brand.

hacoa ki board wireless wooden keyboard is a made of wood

Hacoa has done just that with its new keyboard, the Full Ki-Board Wireless. It features wooden trim and keycaps made of solid wood with natural grain.

Ki is the Japanese word for spirit or energy, and Hacoa notes that the Ki-Board "adds warmth to inorganic personal computers." Underneath, the keyboard houses a 1,000mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 2.4GHz transmitter (a matching USB receiver is included), so you can connect it to your computer, tablet, or phone without disturbing the lovely appearance with wires.
