Following on from Creative’s Audigy range of sound cards, Creative reawaken sound enthusiasts with new blood, rather than tweaked variants of older technology.

Debuted at e3 2005 in Los Angeles during May 2005, Creative’s X-Fi Audio Processor holds rank at a count of not only 51 million transistors, but also being capable of 10,000+ MIPS.
Features being touted include Creative’s 24-bit Xtreme Fidelity Crystalizer technology, EAX Advanced HD 5.0 and a modal system, dedicating resources and power to perform specific tasks.
Being released in several variants, each targeting particular user groups, Creative are tantalizing users taste buds with entry-level solutions such as the Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic, with anMSRP of $129.99, to the top of the range Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro, coming with a just as elite price tag of $399.99 MSRP.
