New CellStik Designed to Manage Contacts

Spark Technology today unveiled a USB flash drive style device called the CellStik. This device, whose purpose it is to make easier the process of transferring and backing up cell phone contacts, is available now for use with LG, Motorola and Samsung phones and is priced at $39.99.

The CellStik, Spark said, connects through a USB 1.1 connection to a host computer. Through the CellStik’s software, users can enter and edit cell phonebook contact data they wish transferred to their phone. Users then connect their phone to the CellStik to transfer the entries through a one step, push-button process.

“How many of us have either lost our phone or upgraded our cell phone to a new model only to think of all the time that will be wasted re-entering phone numbers,” said Tom Beck, president of Spark Technology. “We knew there had to be a simple way to protect the millions of cell phone users from losing their valuable contacts within their phones. CellStik is a quick, easy way for cell phone users to ensure their contacts stay right where they belong — on their cell phone.”

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro leaked render

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 series, which is lined up for an official debut at the as-yet-unannounced Unpacked event this summer alongside the company's next foldables, has just been leaked from all angles.  The reliable Evan Blass (via 91Mobiles) has shared high-resolution animated renders of the Galaxy Watch 5 and its pricier Pro sibling, giving us our first alleged glimpse of the upcoming smartwatch duo in all its glory.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will come in titanium grey and black colors, according to Blass. The leaked motion renders show only the 45mm variant, which can be seen flaunting a redesigned buckle system. It will reportedly hit the shelves in GPS-only and cellular variants, serving as a direct successor to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

Samsung has reportedly filed patents for 10 new foldable phone designs. These include smartphones with rollable, scrollable, and slidable displays. The patents are representative of Samsung’s vision for the future of foldable phones. Patently Apple was the first to report about these new patents published by the World Intellectual Property Organization. Recently, 10 more patents were filed by Samsung, bringing the total to 20.

The Korean tech giant already dominates the foldable smartphone segment with its Fold and Flip series of smartphones. And these patents indicate that the brand is serious about taking its foldable game up a notch. Samsung may have plans to launch slideout foldable phones soon. The company showcased a multi-rollable phone prototype in May, adding further weight to its plans of launching a slideout-style phone. While patents don't always translate into real products, they offer a peek behind the curtain of what could be coming in the future.
