HandHeld Entertainment, makers of the ZVUE family of portable media players, announced yesterday that would be adding more than 1,000 comedic short films to their downloadable collection of films for their portable media player users. These films are being provided by Fun Little Movies, a distributor of short comedy films, and should be available in mid-December for download.
Videos produced by Fun Little Movies have appeared on HBO, Showtime, MTV, Comedy Central, A&E, PBS, Fox and WarnerBros.com, as well as receiving awards including including First Prize for Best Comedy at the World’s Smallest Film Festival for its ‘Love Bytes’ series, and a finalist’s place for Best Short Film at the Cannes Film Festival.
“Humor is something that everyone loves to share,” said Jeffrey D. Oscodar, chief executive officer and president of HandHeld Entertainment. “Our partnership with FLM allows ZVUE users to carry great comedy videos in their pockets and to share these videos with their friends. Short format entertainment, such as music videos, short films, news and comedy shorts, is exactly the type of video content that our customers are asking for, and Fun Little Movies will make them very happy.”
