Boston Acoustics, a manufacturer of high end audio systems, yesterday announced a new desktop radio which features HD radio technology from iBiquity Digital. The Recepter Radio HD is shipping now and available for $499.
The Recepter Radio HD uses FCC-approved HD Radio technology with upgrades sound quality and provides for new wireless data services while allowing for digital broadcasts to be transmitted over existing AM/FM radio bands. This HD radio technology promises to deliver CD-quality audio and information such as station call letters, song titles and artist names.
Other features of the new Recepter Radio HD include a compact satellite speaker, table top design, credit card sized remote, 20 AM/FM presets, two independent clock alarms, stereo audio input and headphone/line out audio output.
