Digital camera company Pentax announced two new compact digital cameras at CES 2006. Both cameras are part of the company’s Optio line.
The Optio A10 camera is Pentax’s first compact digital with an 8 megapixel CCD. Features of this under $350 model, which will be available in February 2006, include anti-shake technology to help with sharper images, dimensions of 3.5†x 2.1†x 0.9â€, 15 shooting modes, video recording at 30fps and a 2.5†color LCD display.
The Optio E10, meanwhile, is targeted towards more entry level users with a price tag of under $200. It will be available at the same time as the Optio A10 and its feature set includes a 6 megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom lens, mode dial with eight options, 2.4†color LCD and built-in auto flash with red eye reduction.
