German headphone manufacturer Sennheiser trotted out several new offerings at CES 2006 designed to support newer technologies like Bluetooth, VoIP and multi-use mobile phones.
First among Sennheiser’s 2006 products is the $329.95 BW900. Available in January 2006, this ultra compact wireless headset uses Bluetooth technology to connect with a variety of compatible devices. Features of this headset include auto adjustment of volume and microphone sensitivity, learnable user settings and a range of up to 300 feet.
VoIP users are targeted next comes with Sennheiser’s new PC 20 and PC 30 headsets. Available in January 2006 for $24.95 and $29.95 respectively, these lightweight units include extended-response transducers and a noise canceling microphone design. They feature ergonomic ear cushions and come with a 10 foot interconnect cable.
Also on Sennheiser’s 2006 docket are the $29.95 and $59.95 MM10 and MM50 mobile-phone focused headsets. Available in January 2006, these units are “in-ear†style. The MM50 is a sealed design, meaning it is geared towards providing a richer sound while isolating its user from ambient noise. The MM10 is more of an earbud style. Both feature a call/answer/end button and a universal 2.5mm plug to connect to most mobile devices.
