G-Drive minis Add New Storage Sizes

At MacWorld in San Francisco this week external disk storage solutions company G-Technology unveiled three new units to the company’s line of G-Drive mini mobile disk drives. These new units are available now with prices starting at $249.

G-Technology’s G-Drive mini mobile disk drives, of which the company added new 60, 80 and 100GB models which spin at 7200RPM and sport an 8MB cache, weigh less than nine ounces and are bus powered, eliminating to the need for a separate power supply. Interface options on these models include dual FireWire 800 or FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 and the drives are enclosed inside an all aluminum enclosure with a built-in heat sink.

“Our new 7200RPM G-Drive minis are the perfect high-performance storage solutions for audio and video editing on the go,” commented Roger Mabon, President of G-Technology, Inc. “With capacities up to 100 GB and desktop like performance, these mobile drives support DV, HDV, DVCPRO HD and uncompressed video applications on Mac and PC laptops.”

Cooler Master’s new quantum dot mini-LED gaming monitors look incredible
Cooler Master 27-inch Tempest gaming monitors were announced today and will release later this year.

The Taiwanese computer hardware brand Cooler Master has announced its latest Tempest series gaming monitors, which feature mini-LED HDR displays at affordable prices.

The two monitors will both sell for under $1,000 when they go on sale later this year, with the Tempest GP27U standing as the option with the more detailed display. It is a 27-inch 4K (UHD) resolution panel with a 160Hz refresh rate, and a 0.5ms response time. The Tempest GP27Q has a display that can put in more active performance, with a 27-inch 2K (WQHD) resolution panel, 165Hz refresh rate, and 0.5 ms response time.
