Consumer electronics company Norcent Technology was out in force at CES 2006 with a wide array of new computer LCDs, HDTVs and digital cameras. Chief among their many announcements were word of their new VOIN collection of styled televisions, two new digital cameras and a 19†widescreen LCD monitor.
Norcent’s new VOIN line up consists of LCDs and plasma HD televisions which have been designed by an international design firm. All of the models in this line have striking designs, according to Norcent, and the highest quality components. Three LCDs, a 20†(LT-2090), 27†(LT-2790) and 32†(LT-3290), come in black and pearl white. Select features on certain models include built-in NTSC and ATSC tuners, 1000:1 contrast ratios and component video as well as HDMI outputs.
Two widescreen plasma models also join the 2006 VOIN lineup. These 42†(PT-4291HD) and 50†(PT-5091HD) models feature 10,000:1 contrast ratios and Digital 3D comb filters. They have built-in NTSC and ATSC tuners, V-chip technology and component and HDMI connectivity options.
Norcent’s 2006 digital camera offerings are the DC-820 ($299.99) and DC-520 ($199.99). The former’s feature set includes a one inch thickness, weight of 4.9 ounces, 8 megapixels, 2.4†color LCD display, 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. The DC-520 sports 5 megapixels, a 2.5†LCD viewer and image capture up to 2560 x 1920. Both should be available this month.
For computer users, Norcent’s highest offering is the 19†widescreen LM-965W. Priced at $349.99 and available sometime in the first quarter of this year, this LCD monitor sports 1440 x 900 WXGA resolution and 500:1 contrast ratio. It also offers a DVI connection and an all-black framing.
