Cadillac has released a photo of the all-new 2015 Escalade and it is, well, quite pimpy.
T.I., eat your heart out.
At first glance, we’re surprised to see the thing looks rather well put together, tasteful, and – shockingly – elegant. This is an Escalade, right?
Cadillac brags that the completely redesigned cabin of the brand’s flagship SUV features “Cadillac’s cut-and-sew interior craftsmanship technique, enabling precisely elegant surfacing of the instrument panel and door areas.”
We can tell.
Look at that wood trim, for example. It looks like real wood and not something they pried from Liberace’s coffin, like Cadillac and Buicks of recent past.
Designers have included supple yet durable looking leather throughout and – delightfully – even added a red stitching accent line across the dashboard.
Cadillac first gave us a teaser look last week. This is the biggest reveal to-date and a promising one.
For years, the Escalade has been the best-selling full-size SUV in the country, outselling even the Range Rover and the Infiniti QX56 (now QX80). We’ve never really known why, as the Caddy was many, many decades behind its competitors in virtually every possible way.
Now, however, it looks like Caddy has finally met – or even surpassed – its legacy in terms of quality and craftsmanship.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade is being officially unveiled in New York City next week on October 7th. We’ll be there live next week posting photos and details as it happens so be sure to check back.
