Samsung last week rolled out a new digital camera which sports HDMI output. The new Digimax L85 is priced at $499.99 and should be available in April.
The Digimax L85, said Samsung, joins the company’s Prestige line of digital cameras and features High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) output so that photos can be better viewed on a high definition television. The camera is eight megapixels, sports a Schneider Kreuznach 7.8 23.44mm lens with 5x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD display and a black body with silver accents.
Other features of the Digimax L85 include three kinds of manual exposure adjustment, a continuous shooting mode for consecutive shots, MPEG-4 video compression for capturing video clips in VGA at 30fps, 11 scene modes, a function for saving customized shooting settings, several special effects functions and 32MB of built-in memory.
