HP Showcases New Notebook Lines

Hewlett Packard today introduced two new notebook series which both feature the latest Intel Core Duo processor technology for boosted mobile performance. The HP Compaq nx9400 Notebook PC series should have a starting price of $1,499 when it becomes available later this month, while the HP Compaq 6300 Notebook PC series will start at $1,049 when it becomes available in early April.

The HP Compaq nx9400 Notebook PC series, said HP, features a 17-inch widescreen display, Intel Core Duo processor and 3D graphics. In addition, the nx9400 is 35 percent thinner and 17 percent lighter than current HP desktop replacement notebooks. It also delivers up to four hours of battery life, which represents up to 129 percent more battery life over previous HP 17-inch notebooks.

The HP Compaq 6300 Notebook PC series, meanwhile, is thin, lightweight and designed for professionals on the go. Features in this line include the Intel Core Duo processor, 15-inch displays, multiple wireless options and a 7-in-1 media card reader.

“Today’s mobile lifestyle requires busy professionals to stay connected and productive throughout the day regardless of location,” said Ted Clark, senior vice president and general manager, Notebook Global Business Unit, HP, in a statement. “Our customers can now enjoy high-performance computing whether at their desks, visiting a client or giving a presentation down the hall — even when disconnected from a power outlet for many hours.”
