In the market for an ultrabook? Soon, you’ll have two more options to choose from. Acer just announced a pair of new ultraportables dubbed the TravelMate P645 and TravelMate X313. Here’s a rundown of each.
TravelMate P645
Powered by Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, the Acer TravelMate P645 (pictured above) ships with one of two touchscreens. One is a 1920 x 1080 display on an IPS panel, while the other offers a scaled-down resolution of 1366 x 768. Both screens measure 14 inches. The Acer TravelMate P645 with the 1080p screen offers dedicated graphics in the form of an AMD Radeon HD 8750M GPU with 2GB of RAM, while the Acer TravelMate P645 that’s paired with the 1366 x 768 display will pack an integrated Intel GPU. Weighing 3.31 pounds, the going rates for the Acer TravelMate P645 notebooks will start at $950.

Aaaaannd now for the more flamboyant option. The Acer TravelMate X313 (pictured below) is a convertible notebook, meaning that it can transform into tablet mode. The X313 wears an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 IPS touchscreen that, at 0.39-inches thin and a feather-like weight of 1.74 pounds, sounds pretty easy to carry around. Powered by an Intel Core i5-3339Y processor, the TravelMate X313 sports 4GB of RAM, a 120GB SSD, and Intel HD 4000 graphics. Acer claims that the TravelMate x313 gets six hours of battery life. Like its bulkier brethren, the Acer TravelMate X313 will also start at $950.
Both the Acer TravelMate P645 and the TravelMate X313 will be available sometime this month, just in time for the start of the holiday shopping season.
