SRT’s Viper molts into Stryker Green in Detroit, brings new aero and GT packages

The SRT Viper is one of the most striking cars on the road today from any automaker. Believe it or not, though, it’s about to get a whole lot more striking.

SRT drew the curtains back on three new Viper variants: a new Stryker Green paint color, Grand Touring (GT) model, and new aero-kit-fitted Viper prototype.

The Stryker Green is a take on the Snakeskin Green from 2008 with “enhanced green and yellow pigments and a ‘liquid mercury’ appearance,” according to the automaker.

As for the GT package, it comes with some kit that was normally reserved for the GTS model. It will include “standard Nappa leather seats, five-mode Electronic Stability Control and the two-mode Bilstein® DampTronic Select suspension, both previously only available with the Viper GTS price class. The GT option package will be limited to the new Stryker Green and Venom Black exterior colors,” according to SRT. “This Moparized SRT Viper showcases lightweight carbon fiber components with an exposed carbon fiber performance X-Brace, which is almost 50-percent lighter than the production version with the same strength and functional stiffness.”

The images you see above show the new aero kit with enlarged front corner splitters and a big ol’ Mopar carbon fiber rear wing. You know, because the normal Viper was too subdued for most buyers.
