Flip Video Ultra Offers More Capacity

Remember back in May when the Flip Video debuted as a simple way for folks to cature digital video and upload it directly to YouTube? Now Pure Digital Technology is back with the Flip Video Ultra, offering 1 and 2 GB capacities, the ability to edit footage right in the camera, and—of course—software which uploads video to sharing sites like YouTube and AOL.

"Flip Video Ultra’s sleek new design will make it the camcorder of choice for people who want to capture and share life’s spontaneous moments, no matter where or when they happen," said Jonathan Kaplan, Pure Digital Technologies chairman and CEO, in a release. "It’s the perfect solution for anyone who wants a stylish, high quality, take-anywhere camcorder."

Pure Digital is still a reluctant to reveal the full specs of the camera…but those aren’t really the reasons consumers would be interested anyway. The Flip Video Ultra sports a 1.5-inch LCD display, one-touch recording with a 2× digital zoom, one-click sending of video email and video greeting cards, and custom editing of movie mixes which can be set to users’ own music. The Flip Video Ultra even has a tripod mount!

The Flip Video Ultra will be available in 1 and 2 GB capacities, with the former priced at $149.99 and available in black and white, while the latter come in white, black, pink, and orange and bear a $179.99 price tag. Pure Digital has also expanded the number of retailers carrying the camera: where they used to be the domain of CVS and Wal-mart, now they’re available in Best Buy, Target, CompUSA, and from online retailers like Amazon.com.

And let's be honest, subtitles can also come in handy for situations like quiet late-night viewing or following the play-by-play from sports commentators on TVs in noisy bars.

But sometimes they can be annoying if you don't need or want them when watching Amazon Prime Video. Maybe someone in your family turned them on, maybe it's a bug, or maybe they're on by default — it doesn't matter — we're here to show you how to turn them off.

What to shop for in the Sony sale
One popular item that often appears on sale is the . These aren't the latest headphones from Sony but at $280 instead of $350, they're still very appealing. When we reviewed the Sony WH-1000XM4, we loved the fantastic noise canceling and sound quality that combined to make these hugely appealing headphones for pretty much everyone. The newer are on sale at $349 instead of $400, but we'd stick with the slightly older model at these prices. The difference between the two is more subtle than you'd think and you'll be happy with either.
