CyberPower summons new Zeus Mini line of small form factor desktop PCs

cyberpower summons new zeus line small form factor desktop pcs

Check out our review of the CyberPower Zeus Mini gaming PC.

Perhaps popularized by the introduction of the Steam Machine, it seems as if small form factor PCs are gaining more and more traction as of late. Now, CyberPower is the latest PC maker to introduce a new batch of dwarfish computers. This new line is dubbed the Zeus Mini.

With the case measuring 13 x 17.4 x 4.4-inches, the Zeus Mini is a far cry from the behemoth gaming PCs you’re likely accustomed to. That doesn’t mean that the CyberPower Zeus Mini doesn’t pack a punch on the inside though.

Don’t be concerned about pricing though. You don’t need a god-like bank account in order to get your hands on CyberPower’s latest creation.  For instance, the Zeus Mini starts at $599 and include and AMD A10-7850K processor, 8GB of RAM, a 500GB 7,200 rpm hard drive, an 8x DVD burner, Windows 8.1 and more. Meanwhile, the top level default config is priced at $1,479 and wields a beefy Intel Core i7-4770K processor, 16GB of RAM, a spacious 2TB 7,200 rpm hard drive, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 graphics card with 3GB of RAM and Windows 8.1.

In all, there are eight Zeus Mini default configurations, and all of them are highly customizable, giving you the ability to raise the price of your Zeus Mini to epic proportions. As for the availability, the Zeus Mini can be had right now.

Trying to buy a GPU in 2023 almost makes me miss the shortage
Two AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards on a pink surface.

The days of the GPU shortage are long over, but somehow, buying a GPU is harder than ever -- and that sentiment has very little to do with stock levels. It's just that there are no obvious candidates when shopping anymore.

In a generation where no single GPU stands out as the single best graphics card, it's hard to jump on board with the latest from AMD and Nvidia. I don't want to see another GPU shortage, but the state of the graphics card market is far from where it should be.
This generation is all over the place

This tiny ThinkPad can’t quite keep up with the MacBook Air M2
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 rear view showing lid and logo.

While the laptop industry continues to move toward 14-inch laptops and larger, the 13-inch laptop remains an important category. One of the best is the Apple MacBook Air M2, with an extremely thin and well-built chassis, great performance, and incredibly long battery life.

Lenovo has recently introduced the third generation of its ThinkPad X1 Nano, one of the lightest laptops we've tested and a good performer as well. It's stiff competition, but which of these two diminutive laptops stands apart?
