Xbox Sales Leap in U.K.It’s a little over a week since Microsoft announced that it was cutting prices for its Xbox 360 in Europe.That’s been enough to cause a 40% increase in sales in the UK last weekend, according to Chart-Track, which follows game and console sales, in aVnunet report.   The Xbox 360 Arcade model now retails for $320, the Premium model is $400 and the Elite model goes for about $510.   But, as new gameshad been released just a week before, it didn’t enjoy a similar surge in games sales.   Sony hasn’t announced any plans to lower the price on itsPS3. In fact, the PS2 continues to show some very long legs, with plenty of titles being sold.

Microsoft has announced some upgrades to its Xbox Wireless Headset on Tuesday, with improved audio, better battery life, and an upgraded microphone for $110, which is $10 more than its predecessor. And it's available to buy now.

Xbox calls this a "refresh" in the announcement post on its website, and indeed it doesn't change up a lot in terms of design. The only significant difference is that it no longer sports a green ring around the earcups. Instead, it opts for an all-black look.

Valve won’t release a Steam Deck 2 until there’s a proper ‘generational leap’

Don't expect a Steam Deck 2 any time soon -- or at least, not within the year. While Valve has confirmed that it's working on an official follow-up to its popular handheld console, it's against the idea of annual hardware releases.

In an interview with Reviews.org (spotted by The Verge), Steam Deck designers Lawrence Yang and Yazan Aldehayyat weighed in on the product's future. While they said they approve of competition in the space and how they can (and in some cases have) improve on the Steam Deck foundation, they're not going to follow the trend of releasing new versions with incremental improvements.

While this year's South Park: Snow Day was a disappointment, the two Ubisoft-published games that preceded it narratively are stellar. One of those, the superhero-themed South Park: The Fractured But Whole, just came to Xbox Game Pass. This game perfectly captures the handcrafted look of the show with its art and the franchise's crass humor through its increasingly ridiculous story about Cartman, a new kid, and their other friends pretending to be superheroes. It's a surprisingly well-made grid-based tactical RPG, making it a significantly better game than it may seem on the surface.
