Check out our full written Wolfenstein: The New Order review.
Bethesda Softworks (The Elder Scrolls, Fallout) has partnered with comic book publisher Dark Horse on three upcoming art books that would make great additions to any gamer’s coffee table (provided you can find the surface beneath all those empty cans of energy drinks). The hardcover books – The Art of Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Art of The Evil Within, and Dishonored: The Dunwall Archives – are printed companions to Bethesda’s latest titles.
The Art of Wolfenstein: The New Order, which hits comic shops on May 14 to coincide with the May release of the game, “features full-color artwork and developer commentary from the team at MachineGames,” Bethesda wrote in its blog. “Spanning more than 200 pages, the collection covers all facets of the game’s design – concept art, characters designs, landscapes & settings, and technology – all inspired by the MachineGames’ plot twist for 1960′s based Wolfenstein where the Nazi’s won World War II and conquered the globe.” Until the book’s release, Bethesda will post new photos from the book each week via the game’s Facebook page and Twitter account.
The Wolfenstein book may not be out until may, but you can pre-order it now from Amazon and from Bethesda’s online store; the Bethesda version will be a limited edition printing of 500, and contains a tip-in plate, signed and numbered by Senior Concept Designer Axel Torvenius and Technical Art Director Tor Frick – you decide on how you want to spend your cash. As for The Art of The Evil Within and Dishonored: The Dunwall Archives, those will follow in August and November, respectively.
