SimpleSave DVD-Rs Painlessly Backup Media

You’ve been told time and time again: back up your most important files, lest something catastrophic happen to your PC. But like your dentist telling you to floss, your optometrist telling you to wear your contacts less, or your doctor telling you to exercise more, the advice sometimes goes in one ear and out the other because it’s just too much of a pain.

Memorex has catered to even the laziest or most technologically inept users with its new line of SimpleSave backup DVD-Rs.  Rather than forcing users to install backup software or manually picking and choosing what gets saved, SimpleSave discs include a small, autoloading backup program on every disc. Users can simply pop one in, and the disc will load, search for media files like pictures and video, then offer to back them up. It’s even smart enough to recognize 90 different file formats, let you pick and choose which to backup, and estimate how many discs you’ll need to do the whole collection. (Just don’t count on it backing up those important tax documents, your half-finished thesis, or your all-important MP3 collection)

There’s a slight premium for buying the SimpleSave DVD-Rs, at $14.99 for a pack of five, but considering the cost of buying and installing separate backup software, they may actually save you money in the short term. The discs will be available at Fry’s Electronics and OfficeMax stores nationwide later this summer.

Locks

HomeKit doesn’t have the largest selection of smart locks, but that doesn’t really matter when you have something as well-rounded as the Aqara Smart Lock U100.
