Xbox 60GB Hard Drive Coming?

Xbox 60GB Hard Drive Coming?

It looks very much as if a 60GB Xbox hard drive will be coming later this year, to stand alongside the 60BG Pro Console due later this month. The site Xbox family has obtained an internal memo sent to both Gamestop and Blockbuster that seems to indicate the Xbox plans for the rest of 2008.

According to the memo, “in late October/early November (exact date TBD but mostly likely last week in October/1st week in November) we will ship the Xbox 360 60GB hard drive, tentatively called the Xbox 360 60GB LIVE Starter Pack.”
With a 60BG hard drive, three months of Xbox Live, a wired headset and Ethernet cable, it will retail for $99.99.

The memo states that the 20GB hard drive will be discontinued, and the 120GB hard drive will drop in price to $149.99.

How to use an external hard drive on PS5
Two versions of the PS5 side by side.

The PlayStation 5 is a remarkable system, but it doesn't come with much storage space. Breaking from the 1TB the Xbox Series X offers, the PS5 only offers 825GB. Worse, after accounting for the storage space the PS5 takes up by default, users are left with just over 650GB of space.

You could install a new SSD in your PlayStation 5, selecting from the best SSDs available, but using external storage to expand your space is simpler. In this guide, we're going to show you how to use an external hard drive on PS5.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor finally coming to PS4 and Xbox One in September
Cal Kestis wielding his blue lightsaber and carrying BD-1 in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

EA and Respawn Entertainment have revealed that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will come out on September 17. That means players who only own last-gen consoles will be able to try out this excellent action-adventure game that was previously exclusive to PC and current-gen consoles.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a sequel to 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and continues the story of Cal Kestis, who stumbles upon a new threat connected to the universe's High Republic era. I gave the game a four-star review when it launched in April 2023, writing that "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor still tells a thematically rich, character-driven Jedi tale in one of the most densely packed 3D Metroidvania games I’ve ever played. It’s now the definitive single-player Star Wars experience."

Another great Activision game comes to Xbox Game Pass this month
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Microsoft has revealed the first wave of Xbox Game Pass titles coming to the subscription service this August. While we already knew about Creatures of Ava and Mafia: Definitive Edition's impending additions to Xbox Game Pass, we also learned that another Activision Blizzard game is coming: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

Originally a PlayStation 4 exclusive, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy revamped Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot games for what were then current-gen platforms. It toed the line between remaster and remake as the visuals got a complete overhaul, but it was extremely faithful when it came to gameplay and level design. Regardless, the first three Crash Bandicoot games are fantastic, so N. Sane Trilogy is as well.
