Yesterday, Evernote and Feedly reported that they were hit by separate distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. While Evernote has mostly recovered from the attack, Feedly isn’t so lucky, as it announced it was hit by a second DDoS attack today.
The second attack hit Feedly early this morning, though the service says it is up and running again. Both Feedly and Evernote were attacked yesterday by people looking to extort money, and Feedly says the same was done with this morning’s attack. It did not say whether user data was compromised the second time around.

Evernote, meanwhile, said that it is accessible to all users on all platforms:

DDoS attacks involve thousands of computers attempting to connect to a website at the same time. Because of the excessive number of connections, the target website becomes inaccessible. Several major financial institutions, as well as numerous other websites, have fallen victim to DDoS attacks.
