Based on the site, the successor to the Moto G will carry the model number of XT1063, as reported by Webtrek. Specification-wise, the XT1063 looks to be a modest improvement over the original Moto G by featuring a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixel display, representing a slight bump in size but with the same resolution. Also the same is what you’ll find under the hood, which includes a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and the Adreno 305 GPU. You’ll find the same 1GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of internal storage.

The camera, meanwhile, gets a modest bump to 7 megapixels, compared to the Moto G’s 5-megapixel rear-facing shooter. Regardless of the bump, video will still record in 720p. Selfies will come courtesy of a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, an increase from the 1.3-megapixel shooter found on the face of the Moto G.
All in all, while these specifications have yet to be confirmed by Motorola, we’re looking at a device that’s amazingly similar to the Moto G. This was likely Motorola’s intention in order to keep costs down, seeing as the Moto G originally sold for $180. We’ll likely hear an official announcement of the XT1063 later this year.
