Street View rolls out virtual tours of more universities around the world

street view releases new tours of universities around the world colleges
If you fancy forgoing your usual virtual vacation to faraway places in favor of a studious Street View tour around a selection of the world’s educational institutions, then now’s your chance.

Google has announced the expansion of its database of Street View imagery for college campuses across the globe, on Thursday introducing walking tours for 36 additional universities.

With a new academic year fast approaching, the new content could certainly be of interest to incoming students (or simply the curious minded) keen to explore the sites, which include the likes of Georgetown University in DC, the University of Miami, and the University of Regina in Canada’s Saskatchewan province.

Beyond North America you can take a stroll around establishments such as the University of Glasgow in Scotland and Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.

Google has been working to upload Street View data for educational institutions for some time now. In 2012 it added panoramic imagery for 150 university campuses located around the world, including for California’s UCLA and Sophia University in Japan.

galaxy s8 tips and tricks

MicroSD cards are an unsung hero in the mobile space. They provide extra storage space for your smartphone, but they're also key in tablets, drones, and security cameras. Unfortunately, this feature is falling out of favor in the smartphone space, and most flagship and midrange phones no longer have a slot to insert a microSD card. Even the most expensive phones around, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Samsung S22 Ultra don't have a microSD card slot anymore. You're not even safe if you have an iPhone or iPad, as they've never had microSD card slots.

But all is not lost! Some of the best Android phones and best Android tablets do still support them, and they're still required for use with cameras, security cameras, and drones. But no matter which device you're buying it for, you'll want to get your hands on a microSD card from a reputable brand.
