There’s Freddy’s BBQ Rib Joint in Baltimore, for example, made famous in House Of Cards as Frank Underwood’s favorite eating spot. For something a little more upmarket, check out Highclere Castle in the south of England (above), where the hugely popular Downton Abbey is set.

The blog post put up by Google also covers locations used in Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones and Scandal. All of these places have been accessible on Street View for some time, though it’s helpful to be able to get direct links to the filming locations without having to do any homework.
“While we can’t get you a ticket to the awards, Google Maps can at least make you feel like an extra on the set of your favorite show,” says Google’s Susan Cadrecha. This isn’t the first time Google has promoted filming locations on Street View — you may remember that last year the Street View cameras went inside the set of Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter series.
Shows up for prizes on Monday night include Breaking Bad, True Detective, Game Of Thrones, House Of Cards, Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abbey and Mad Men. The ceremony begins at 8ET/5PT.
As for Street View, it’s been around since 2007, and other mapping platforms are still playing catch-up. Since then the service has expanded way beyond roads and sidewalks, covering World Cup stadiums, National Parks, cruise ships and much more besides. You can even roll back time in a select number of locations across the world.
