Seth MacFarlane’s 2012 comedy Ted was a massive hit at the box office and is currently the highest-grossing original, “R”-rated comedy of all time, so it makes sense that the sequel is bringing in some big names in its quest to replicate that success.
Earlier this week, MacFarlane posted on Twitter that Taken star Liam Neeson had filmed a role in Ted 2, adding his name to a list of well-known actors cast in the film that already includes Morgan Freeman.

Neeson previously worked with MacFarlane on A Million Ways To Die In The West, the western comedy that was written and directed by MacFarlane, who also starred in the film. Given that Neeson only seemed to be shooting for a single day on the Ted sequel, it’s uncertain how much of a role he’ll play in the film.
Thus far, little is known about the plot of the film — though Freeman will reportedly play a civil rights lawyer who takes Ted (a walking, talking, sentient teddy bear) as a client. Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role as Ted’s best friend, the man whose childhood wish brought a teddy bear to life.
Although Mila Kunis is expected to reprise her role from the first film, Amanda Seyfried will play the female lead this time around.
The Ted sequel hits theaters June 26, 2015.
