If you thought you were going to miss out on seeing the new Star Wars teaser trailer this holiday weekend, worry not — everyone can get a look at it online courtesy of iTunes. A tweet from the official Star Wars account confirmed the news late on Wednesday night.

So what can we expect? We know the trailer is going to be 88 seconds long and we know it’s unlikely to show much actual footage — shooting on the film only wrapped up earlier this month. The teaser debuting on iTunes is the same one that’s going to be shown in 30 theaters across the U.S. from Friday.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the seventh film in the series and is due for release on December 18, 2015. It reunites the main stars of the original trilogy, with Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher all reprising the iconic roles from George Lucas’ epic space opera. J.J. Abrams is the man in the director’s chair after also revitalizing the Star Trek movie franchise.

Aside from members of the cast, very few details have leaked about what’s in store for Star Wars fans with the new entry in the series. We know that C-3PO’s suit is easier to get in and out of, but almost everything else is speculation at this stage. We should find out more when the first trailer arrives tomorrow.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 trailer unveils Lower Decks crossover
Jack Quaid and Tawny Newsome in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Crossovers are nothing new for the Star Trek franchise. That tradition began in 1987 when original series star DeForest Kelley reprised his role as Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy in the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. But in the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, there's a unique crossover coming between this series and the animated program Star Trek: Lower Decks. For the first time in Star Trek history, two characters from an animated series will appear in live-action, and they will be portrayed by the same performers who provide their voices. As seen in the new Strange New Worlds trailer below, Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid are reprising their respective roles as Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler.

Wes Anderson’s Star Wars? All the AI Wes Anderson parodies, ranked
Darth Vader stands in a hallway in The Galactic Menagerie.

At this year's Cannes Film Festival, Wes Anderson just debuted his newest movie, Asteroid City. The acclaimed movie looks to be a typical Anderson project populated with eccentric characters, an all-star cast featuring Tom Hanks and Scarlett Johansson, and whimsical visuals. Asteroid City is sure to please audiences when it's released later this year, but it will also help fuel the latest trend that's sweeping the Internet: AI parodies.

With the rapid advancement of ChatGPT and AI-generating software like Midjourney, "regular folk" have taken these tools and applied their own creativity by utilizing the established works of artists such as Wes Anderson. The Anderson AI parodies are fun to look at but they also suggest a terrible trend of co-opting a director's distinct visual style and making something seem new while really being a fancy rip-off. Nevertheless, we rank all of the Moonrise Kingdom director's AI "tributes" and parodies, from the truly terrible to the surprisingly good.

The 7 best Star Wars vehicles ever, ranked
lets pick apart little things star wars force awakens teaser trailer 8

The universe of Star Wars is absolutely jam-packed with vehicles. These vehicles are the chief way that the story's characters get from one planet to another, and they're also how people often travel when they're on a planet.

These vehicles serve much more than a simple utilitarian function, though. They're almost characters in and of themselves, and they're also often settings for some of the most important scenes in the history of the franchise. Star Wars simply wouldn't be the same without its many vehicles, so we've decided to rank the seven best.
